Crystallised patterns in an abandoned pond used for the disposal and stacking of phosphogypsum with shallow, but highly toxic radioactive green water in Huelva, Southern Spain. Phosphogypsum is a radioactive by-product in the manufacture of phosphoric acid, used for phosphate-based fertilizers.
