Anolis insolitus is a twig anole from the Cordillera Central of the Dominican Republic. Its a mountain dwelling species. It is easier to find at night when its perched sleeping at the end of twigs at a height of about 7 feet. This animal was briefly caught and manipulated for the photograph. It was then released on the same tree where it was caught.
