Sean's day job is as a creative director for New York's largest advertising agency, but when he's not convincing the world to buy things that they may or may not need, he's out photographing wildlife. His travels have taken him to all seven continents where he has documented everything from the smallest of invertebrates to the largest of mammals. His photos have been published in many magazines, and have been awarded by the BBC, the Smithsonian and National Geographic.
Back in 2002, Sean took a break from advertising and moved into his Subaru Outback. He traveled to all 50 states, compiling images for his first book, American Hydrant. Sean also runs a popular Photo of the Day blog where he delights his thousands of subscribers with a new wildlife image every day of the work week. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife Karen.
