Pandemic Project by Sean Crane (34) More files...
There aren’t a lot of upsides to a year in lockdown. Especially for a wildlife photographer who specializes in capturing images from the far corners of the globe. So when the most exotic location I’d been to in a year became my backyard, I had only one option — to embrace it. I ordered a bunch of equipment and began camera trapping. We may not have quolls, lorises or fossas in Connecticut, but we do have plenty of woodland mammals that stay hidden during the day, but make their appearance once the rest of us have headed in for the night. Which isn’t to say I haven’t had a fair share of daytime visitors to my traps too. And there’s nothing like finally tending to that leaky faucet in the kitchen, only to later realize I was multi-tasking by photographing a bear cub. - Sean Crane
