With his signature photography and editorial style Dr. Moffett travels to Vietnam to document a species inventory in a new national park. The team’s objectives included describing the anatomy and naturalhistory of Tam Dao’s indigenous creatures, taking tissue samples to determine their genetic makeup, and ultimately helping to draft a conservation plan for the park. As it happens, many of its denizens either bite, sting, pinch, suck blood or envenomate their prey--in the king cobra's case with human victims, often fatally.
