Working with researcher James Ketchum in the Galapagos, Pete Oxford documents ultrasonic tagging procedures on local sharks. Ketchum is associated with Migramar - a regional network of scientists, non-profits and government groups dedicated to tackle the problem of shark population declines. In an age where the effects of fishing are becoming more pronounced, the coordinated approach taken by the Migramar network is a step in the right direction to manage and conserve one of the few areas where sharks are still abundant.
