Polar Bear Research (40) More files... by Suzi Eszterhas
Tracking bears from the air and tranquilizing them, researcher Nick Lunn moves into collect and tag the animals. Measuring paws, checking out teeth and finally tattoos are applied to the inside of the bear's lip to recognize the individual if it is captured again. The cubs get the same treatment and wake from sleep unharmed. Suzi shows us the process of research for these nearly endangered species.
