Discovered by a tourist vehicle at just two-weeks old, cold and hungry Paka, an orphaned Serval kitten was turned over to Suzi Eszterhas who offered to nurse the young cat back to health. Over the course of half a year she learned how to care for the kitten, to groom and feed him and, most importantly, how to make him feel comfortable in her presence. He thrived. Having learned the hunting skills necessary to survive he left her tent at the age of six months and ventured into the wild. Months later he was spotted hunting in the region (just a quarter kilometer away from the camp) - he has begun his life as a wild serval.
