Gerry Ellis travelled to Africa for over two years to follow a small group of baby elephants from their rescue in the wild. These young animals are orphaned due to accidents, poaching of their mothers and other issues. These images trace their story of survival through the nursery at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphanage on the fringe of Nairobi National Park in Kenya to their release into the wilds of Tsavo National Park in eastern Kenya. From the nursery to their release these orphans must be taught how to live in the wild.
