We are thrilled to share a new feature by Suzi Eszterhas. For this story she followed a leopard family at Tubu Tree Camp in The Jao Reserve with Wilderness Safaris over about 16 months, starting when the cubs were only five weeks old and still in the den. This was a huge passion project of hers, three years in the making! Suzi captures the cubs youthful energy as they play, climb and explore their territory while mom is away hunting. As they mature they learn how to kill wounded prey that their mother provides as she teaches them to survive on their own. These cubs are now healthy and thriving, on the cusp of independence from their mother.
