Katydids (52) More files... by Piotr Naskrecki
Whether gaudy or crypticly colored, tropical katydids are superbly adapted to fend off the legions of birds, bats, lizards, monkeys and other creatures that find them so tasty. Entomologist and photographer Piort Naskrecki writes 'If I were to name one group of organisms that encapsulates everything I love about nature, it would be katydids. They behave in intriguing ways, and their physical beauty is matched by their captivating songs. It also helps that katydids inhabit places I have always longed to visit.'Text by Piotr Naskrecki.
