Auscape International was founded by Jean-Paul Ferrero, a French photographer who moved to Australia in 1982 and established the agency in 1985. His immense and world-renowned body of work forms the basis of the Auscape collection that has now grown to include the work of almost 200 of the world's foremost nature photographers. The collection specializes in wildlife, the environment, science and nature from all around the globe. Minden Pictures has been handling Auscape's material since 2004.~~This collection is only available to our North American clients.

We are pleased to add Buiten-Beeld, a Dutch-based photo agency and picture library specialized in European nature photography, to our collection. The emphasis of their work lies upon European flora and fauna, but besides this main subject, Buiten-Beeld has an extensive collection of images of outdoor recreation, the agricultural sector, natural phenomena, cultural landscapes, natural reserves and environment and nature enjoyment.

Hedgehog House

The Hedgehog House collection is based around Colin Monteath's expedition and travel photography but also represents some 300 photographers. They carry an extensive range of imagery of the New Zealand landscape as well as New Zealanders doing everyday activities and outdoors sports, collections of natural history, travel and culture images. They also have one of the world's best collections of polar and mountain related material, with images from both poles and all seven continents. Minden Pictures has been representing Hedgehog House's work since 2004.

Located in downtown San Diego, the 100-acre (40-hectare) Zoo is home to over 4,000 rare and endangered animals representing more than 800 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. Since 2003 Minden Pictures has represented a selection of the zoo's staff photographers' work focusing on portraits and behavior of their captive animals.
